Cooley Studios offers in studio on-going monhtly art classes. Student artists will be introduced to classical academic art and the atelier art training system. This was one of the three major systems that birthed many of the great art masters of the past. In a step by step method, we will focus on the three fundamental disciplines of visual art which are drawing, painting and composition. We will begin with drawing fundamentals followed by simple line and shape exercises. Next we will guide the students through simple line block-in drawings and progressively graduate to fully rendered tonal drawings. Following mastery of drawing, the student will begin painting, initially working with simple black and white compositions, followed by limited color and finally full color paintings.
