Our full-time Atelier Program offers classical academic fine art training in drawing and painting. Our curricular study can take 3 years to complete, depending on the progress of the student. We guide our students step by step through each assignment to assure mastery at each level (apprenticeship, journeymen, professional). Interested candidates must be serious about art and dedicated to arduous daily study.

Our typical student candidates are interested in realist fine art, medical illustration, realist illustration, figurative art, portraiture and sculpture. Apprentice: Levels I, II, III
Level I: Drawing fundamentals, Bargue drawings (line and tone), Master copy drawings, Level II: Geo-form drawings, Plaster cast drawing, Level III: Figure drawing from the live model, Painting fundamentals - value theory and plaster cast painting. Composition, perspective and human anatomy for artists will also be covered.

Journeymen: Level IV
Level IV: Color theory, Painting master copies, Figure painting from the live model, Portrait painting from the live model, Still life and Landscape painting.

Professional Artist: Level V
Level V: Emancipation work - creating a work that reflects the area or genre of art the student artist intends to pursue as a professional.
