Here are a few recent drawings I made. The first one is a cast drawing, Russian Academy master copy and a commissioned portrait drawing. The cast drawing is a rendition of The Apollo Belvedere bust. The next one is a master copy of a drawing by master artist Ilya Repin (1844-1930) and the third drawing is a depiction of Bill Zahn and his little sister. Zahn is a professional gospel saxophonist. He is now 75 and his sister is 73. I really enjoyed making this graphite pencil portrait. He loves it, as do I.
Always good to satisfy your client but more important to love what you do.
