Cast Painting

Cast Painting:

Christine Kwon, Cast, 2015, Student

Christine Kwon, Cast, 2015, Student

This class is a contiuation from cast drawing and Oil Painting I. It will further enhance the students ability of seeing subtle values. The student will learn to squint and block out unnecessary lights while including subtle needed nuanced values. Painting the cast starts with keen observation and a successful drawing. Once the drawing is accurate and completed, the student begins with an open grisaille and completes the cast with a closed grisaille. Light, value, form, proportion and composition will be observed. The painting must successfully exhibit the effect (3 dimensional quality).
